Basically the ruling right wing party made changes to how Supreme Court works, taking away a lot of control from the old clique of commie judges. The minister of justice has a bigger degree of control over the matter right now, but in turn the process of choosing new SC judges is far more transparent now. This however hits the postcommie mafia hard, so the media supporting the old setup are really vocal about how the change is supposedly bad. Since a lot of people never care to look into details and trust their media of choice 100%, they think this change is bad as well.

Since the old postcommie setup was cooperating closely with the Jews since early 90s and later with EU, the latter try to pressure Polish government against the change. The government doesn't really give a fuck though.
