It's bleak for me now. I am freshly divorced, a full time student, and sustaining myself on disability. I just now spent my last bit of change in bus fare home. A small elite that has control of the means of production and all the world's resources will cordon itself off from the rest of the world. It'll be mostly jews, whites, and asians, but with some other races included (and in the case of whites and asians only a tiny minority of those groups will be included).
They will use genetic modification to breed themselves into a race of superhumans and then go completely post-human. Meanwhile the overwhelming majority of human beings will fall further and further behind. The elite will at first subsidize them with universal income and automated services, even as they keep themselves removed from the inferior masses. But gradually over time as the elites leave humanity behind they will become more and more indifferent towards the "mere" humans beneath them and will someday cut them off completely. The leftover humans will almost all starve, having become servile and incapable of taking care of themselves. Except for a small minority of them that will get by at a severely reduced standard of living.
