Only when confronted with science they don't like do they revert to "no such thing as race". In fact their biggest consistency connundrum currently is how they can support "no such thing as gender" but also support race essentialism by saying you can't choose to be black.

"White people are always wrong" and "men are always wrong". Suddenly all their positions are consistent.

There are minor addendums in that white women are more wrong that the righteous "other" races, and that gay men are slightly less wrong than straight men, but the general rule holds.

In fact they get increasingly distraught the more you move their arguments outside the comfort of "white people are bad".
