No. We're social creatures and don't live in a vacuum. Politics is a progressively more relevant topic for all the wrong reasons. And you have to consider that to an extent, many of our ideas are not our own, OP.... communism, national socialism, libertarianism, these are memes, they were never yours to begin with. They are a consequence of our collective psyche. Ignoring what the spirit of humanity is quarrelling over does nothing for you. The real question then becomes what to bring to the public forum.
