I've heard of this same thing. But to stress a wrong way or a right way of meditation is completely opposing to the point. To go into meditation with the possibility of doing it wrong is not meditation. If there is wrong meditation, there is wrong thinking. But see how far you get when you tell someone to stop thinking the wrong way. It may be just as well the stirring of demons from meditation could be an awakening of those already inhabiting and the meditation could be merely a disturbance to their working pattern on the subject. It's a painful process always upon making the announcement for self betterment. That has and will continue to lead to more harm and stir more demons than a noon day meditation ever will.
