How can someone do an IQ test, a test that only tests your ability to recognise patterns and shapes, and then claim that the number it spits at the end is an all encompassing representation of how intelligent they are when so many different factors can represent what we think as intelligence.

I'm completely against the use of IQ tests in any form. That tells me nothing about the person other than their ability to see patterns(at that time, IQ numbers are incredibly short lived), does that tell me that they're not going to do something stupid on a skydive, does that tell me that they can drive without killing someone, does that tell me that they're not going to be a liberal socialist retard? No.

I bet you could find some people with autism that are absolutely amazing at IQ tests, does that mean that they are intelligent?

IQ shows that you are able to answer a question in a way that the examiner wants you to. An examiner can only ask questions that he ultimately knows the answers to (otherwise he can't judge if it's correct or not); so the deciding factor becomes speed/time.

It's basically a measure for how great of a psychopath you are.


There is also no way to measure the IQ of dead people, and IQ is relative to the population, so it changes every time a person in your country dies etc.

IQ is not a physical measure, it's a relative psychological measure, it depends on many different things, on which the examiner doesn't necessarily have any influence or control over.
