Same. My family moved to a suburb north of Atlanta when Atlanta first start booming in the 90s. I spent an ungodly amount of my youth sitting in a car in traffic. So glad I got out of that place. It's an awful lifestyle. Really the only good thing about it is the cost of living in these booming cities is low, so you can get a nice house for little money, but you spend your entire life in the fucking car, driving to and from work. I do my work schedule super early so I can avoid the rush and every morning as I cruise through downtown at 50 MPH I see people rushing to go much faster than the flow, creeping up on cars in front of them and having to brake when the road curves. Here in Texas, one of the big problems is which way the ramps go to frontage roads. Most of our freeways have continuous frontage roads. In rural areas with two-way frontage roads, the off ramp is right before the (diamond) intersection, and the on ramp right after.

Once urbanization happens and they make the frontage roads one-way, you have to get off an exit early and sit through a stop light to go almost anywhere along the road, and traffic piles up right before the intersection. So all over Texas they are tearing up ramps to turn them the other way around.

The intersection I was talking about didn't have a left exit problem, it had a sharp right turn problem. And the first intersection I was talking about was a Y, not a T, it got fixed because the left-exit bridge was too small and had to be torn down anyhow for more main lanes to go under it.

Yep, that's about right, only closer together. The good part is that nice strip of unused land right there. And I hadn't realized how tight the north-to-west turn was. It's the east-to-south that's a problem, they even have warning signs showing a truck flipping over to warn how sharp it is.
