imo, not only would a universal income be good for us, we could probably get on without even needing money (hurr durr commiefag lmao).

Say what you want, but I still believe that the idea is nice, of everyone being as equal as it gets.
The main problem though, is us. we are, at least as of now, set to believe in capitalistic beliefs, and noone would want to work harder than someone else for the same amount of income, or even moreso, no income at all, doesn't matter if they can get what they want.

it would take a shitton of reconstruction in our entire society to make people work for the gain of everyone, not just themselves like it is now.

That being said, a universal income is probably still better than just no currency, but idk, I might be wrong. (some random examples: you won't just spend your freetime doing a hundred different things but never really *doing* anything, instead you'd settle down on a couple of hobbies, much like it is now. would be nice to try every hobby you want to without having to invest much, but since you drop out of 99% of them immediately I'd say it's not that bad.
An interesting example is how making your own startup/business might work, in both of these scenarios. it's already a huge risk in our current capitalist system, I'd say it would be better off in the universal system though. don't really know how, or even if it would work in a free/commie system, if it even would. such a sort of system would probably hold back most of innovation as a whole.. but that's my guess)

The only way anything close to a universal income works is in a society where the majority of the population lives in small, wealthy towns with high social trust. Even then, what you'd end up with is a strong social safety net to fall back on instead of monthly gimmedats.

This is the exact opposite of the path globalists have us headed up. We're being forced into cities and told that race and nationality are just social constructs.

Well, I still live in a decent village far from big cities, but even here I'm starting to feel the effect of all of this, and even though we've held on for a decent while it's marching into our country like there's no tomorrow. Guess there's pros and cons of being the "Switzerland of the Balkans", we're just west-cultured enough so that all of this gets to us.
But hell, even the Serbs are starting to feel it.

back to the og topic, yeah, we've gone far enough that there's not really much we can do to live in this "perfect world where everyone works for the better of everyone". I do hope though that the people running all of this will just make the system a bit less bullshit when a majority of work is taken over by machines, like you said, and that then we'll have a more equal playing field. I just hope innovation doesn't stop there, and that people will still be free to do what they want to.
