Hello /pol/
I've been recently thinking about christianity. I am currently an atheist and I really don't think that if God exists it is like the mainstream image of the beard guy. I think that if he exist, he is something more complicated, perhaps beyond human intelligence.
Here's the thing: It's sad to think we're only here because of pure random, and it's awesome to think that one way or another we and everything in the cosmos is part of a complicated, major design. And I'm kinda thinking of becoming christian (or catholic, whatever). Mostly because christianity has awesome morals and rules that makes you a very happy and right person.
What do you think? Any similar stories?

Truth is hard to come by, but the Christian God is certainly more than just a bearded guy, and you're more than you appear as well. The universe we exist in consists of more layers and dimensions than we can currently comprehend, and God himself exists in a sovereign dimension outside of time itself. Quantum Field theory and other modern views on the universe are pretty exciting when viewed through the lens of The Bible.
There's more information out there than can possibly be consumed by anyone in their lifetime, I suggest watching some of Chuck Missler's lectures on YouTube. If you're serious about trying to find truth you'll need to put in work, but once you have eyes to see and ears to hear the world starts making sense, your fears melt away, and you can live life with a love you wouldn't believe you could have.

"divine feelz" is usually just from a sense of belonging to a group but the group cohesion is vital for human survival so it really is the will of a loving God and the mechanisms that give rise to those feelings are a gift from Him. A prophet is someone so in sync with God's will that he can divine the future in broad terms and concepts he understands.
