When Yugoslavia started to split up Serbia was really the only state to really stay with Russia diplomatically which made is a quasi target for western states like the US. Clinton had no problem bombing Serbia because it essentially was just another proxy aggression against Russia. Thus the US could use the killing of innocents as a catalyst for bombing more innocents. So I think it as less of "defending Muslims" and more of a strategic military action which I don't defend.

There has been over 23,000 airstrikes on ISIS so far, congrats Serbia you are less important than durkadurkas.
