SCTV was the far superior show tbqh.

SNL was never good. There were also tons of shitty movies and TV shows always. I think the problem now is that giant blockbuster movies are so profitable that studios pour all their resources into making a handful of those instead of a bunch of medium budget movies. Also movies are aimed more at children and Chinks now than in the past contributing to their bland shittiness. There are still a few good directors.
