>"Explain 5,000 mile long train tracks from Russia that lay upon a pear earth."
It's simple, the distance is so big that the train tracks curve so little that is imposible to tell the curvature just looking at them. Just think the track moving with the terrain.
>"Explain who builds skyscrapers so they don't lean."
Engineers.
>"How do you date rocks if you weren't there to record the start time?"
It's simple, we use radiometric dating, you have here a small page about it: https://geomaps.wr.usgs.gov/parks/gtime/radiom.html
>"How do trees apear vertically through multiple layers of the geologic shelf?"
As I explained with the train tracks, the distance needs to be extremely big to notice the curvature of the earth, a couple of meters wont make a noticable diference.
>>
>>133658808

>>
>>133658246
Ironically, the age of sail was one of the most glorious periods in the European history. Still, manned space missions somehow fell out of favor in the recent years. There are some careful discussions about developing a base on Mars or perhaps just on the Moon (Russians have been trying to secure funding for that for years). But perhaps the technology is not quite there yet.

Also, You know those fuck huge receiver dishes they always show in alien contact movies? its basically those. but yeah, we totally never went to space, and space travel is a myth. Got it.
>>
>>133659156
No engineers do that. Nobody talks to everybody else to plan for curvature. As for your train cop out, how do the 6-10 mile long cars not move when their diesel engines cut the brakes when they stall? Shouldnt they be picking up speed. Nigger I said 5000 miles. I know they curve laterally. But never on the y axis. The maths don't exist there. You can't slowly scale a mountain with a train very good. Let alone as you say "slowly" go up and down over 5000 miles. Your maths dont add up. The horizon never fails to meet your eye no matter how high. Lie blatantly during former launches. But those huge trains are slooooowly ascending curves in the track. Nigger we've been engineering train tracks for like 160 years. Nobody could calculate for this. One mistake by the hair of a hair and you are a fucked up liar. We cant even make the pyramids anymore. I know what is radiometrics. I asked about starting point. Same like a swimming relay. Dont know starting time you become a fucking liar again mister pear with the candlestick in the kitchen. How do trees grow through millions of years of rock accumulation? The shape of the earth he says. HURRRRRRRRRR

You know there is something called gravity right? It will pull the mass always to the center of the planet, as you move, the "Y axis" moves with you to point always directly to the center of the planet.
>"How do trees grow through millions of years of rock accumulation"
They are just petrified trees, in some special ocassions that can happend.
>>133659852
Those inventions were made to be part of the missions, after the missions were done, they were given to the public. For example: Insulation.
"Back in the day when NASA was looking for ways to make sure the Apollo spacecraft and space suits were livable, they began experimenting with insulation. Between the brutal changes in temperature generated upon re-entry, this alone would prove deadly if the astronauts weren’t protected accordingly. One invention that came forth from the need of durable insulation was the radiant heat shield.

Modifications of insulation have resulted in spin-off products that are used in a variety of different forms, the most popular and most frequently used form of insulation being found in construction. Quite a few of the commercial and residential buildings built over the last two decades use insulation developed following NASA’s lead."

Stars and planets are lights on the firmament not objects in outer space.

Genesis 1:14-15
14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

Jupiter has several promising moons, but ceres seems like a better target in the short term, which is probably why we sent one there first.

We also got some shots of ceres via space probe back in 2016.

Some fun facts about ceres:

>surface is water ice for miles, with solid rock center
>orbital velocity is low, escape velocity is only 500 m/s, so setting up local satellite networks in ideal positions would be trivial
>abundance of water makes fuel a non-issue
>large enough mass makes base resource depletion a relative non-issue
>low (~2% of earth's) gravity makes construction extremely easy
>It's right in the middle of the asteroid belt, making it an ideal base location for various mining enterprises
>Despite being small compared to planets, it's still quite large. 950 km diameter, ie 701380 square kilometer land area, or roughly 173 million acres.

Initial plans are for moon-mars first, though, as far as manned missions are concerned.

>What are different cameras?
>What are different focal lengths?
Believe it or not, not all people see color exactly the same, and not all cameras do too. Some camera's see blue a bit stronger, but other's see red more. Some camera's have some blue wavelengths leak into green, or infrared wavelengths leak into red. Camera's used in space also might not even be capturing visible light. Instead they are designed to capture other wavelengths but interpret them as red/green/blue. There are million dollar labs that are made just to figure out a correct color calibration for cameras, just so you can take a selfie on your phone while believing that all those photos are fake because of the different colors. Color calibration wasn't that good 10 years ago.

>how does jpg work? all compressed image formats are pixel perfect representations of reality all the time!

short answer, if all pixels around a fairly black pixel are also fairly black, compression will view it as unimportant detail and just make it flat black because it's less data. Pixels around a somewhat black pixel that aren't somewhat black are interpreted as important detail, compression doesn't flatten the color and keeps the detail. It's a computer using block style scanning so of course turning up the gain and gamma is going to show this compression effect as a square like.

The earth is not a perfect sphere you cretin.

Flat retards are incapable of proposing a working model for their "theories". All they do is to attack the current model, fake, strawman or just bullshit their way to confuse people and opposing "common sense" to their version of what science is (or supposed to be according to them).

All they can do is criticize out of paranoia and their fear or being irrelevant (notice how their model always want everything to be smaller and centered so they can feel important ?)

That's always the case in most conspiracy bullshit on /pol/ anyway.

About 99% of the stars in the sky are geosynchronous satellites.

I assume you are sitting in a desk chair... look at ceiling and spin. Spin implies an axis. If spinning around an axis anything in line with that axis will appear to be stationary.

Hope I didn't blow your fucking mind or anything. I know it can really surprise the 5th graders the first time the come across this basic fucking concept.

Ok. Again. The Sun is STILL in the sky by your model, correct ? It's not UNDER the Earth or some stuff like that, right ? And it's at least hundreds of kilometers up in the air or we would have a little problem with planes...

THEN WHY CAN'T I SEE IT AT NIGHT ? Light don't just "stop" because it's far away. You can always see light unless there's an obstacle.

You are implying that it cannot be possible for you to be stationary and the objects above you to be spinning. It's funny you bring up 5th grade because that appears to be the time you arrested development.

That's not what the picture said... it said "how is it possible on a sphere earth"... to witch I explained it's very obviously possible.

There is an alternate possibility sure of space rotating around the earth but this phenomena of spinning and the appearance of things in line with the axis of rotation has nothing to do with flat or sphere. (and I'm the one with arrested development... for fuck's sake)

If we are hurling through space at a gorillion miles per hour, and all objects are also hurling away from us at insane speeds (as the universe is expanding) then why is it we havent seen a change in scenery in the night sky? Still the same stars, same constellations in the same location for thousands of years... for fucks sake
>>
>>133671386
then why can Australia see the same stars as I do ?
>>
>>133671386
shooting stars are meteors that are falling into the atmosphere and burning up
stars are a few hundred to a few million light years away

>photographs perfectly represent reality perfectly and exactly

if you were in that dark room with that candle, flashlight, light bulb etc... you'd see a hell of a lot more light. We know we cannot build camera sensors good enough to mimic the human eye and represent reality perfectly which is why it's difficult without a ton of light to get decent exposure when taking a picture of a white person next to a black person.

That's all tangential because in each of those picture examples, the camera can see the source of the light even when "outside" the light of the light source. In the final flat model, there is nothing between the light source and say, south america so even if outside the "light" of the source, the source should still be visible.

So it's wrong on two fronts.

in a few million years, retard.
the point is that constellations do change
>>
>>133671386
You have two solutions:

> Light has a "range" and beyond this range you can't see the object making light
Then stars must be closer than the Sun but can't possibly seen by every country at the same time by this very logic. Problem: they can.

> Light don't have a range
THEN WHY CAN'T I SEE THE SUN AT NIGHT
>>
>>133671452
I mean, these are still dumb objections that are fairly easily explained but you're just going further off topic because that's irrelevant to a flat or sphere earth. I'm assuming that you'd agreethat basic physics and the speed of light still exist if the earth is flat or not..
>>
>>133672020
most ball earthers always claim that the reason why the earth is a globe is because you DO see different conestellations in different places lmao

>>
>>133672272
>I cant show you that this is real
It is. Use geometry to calculate the distance to each star and track how fast it moves every year.
You'd end up with the same conclusion as every scientist, but if you knew how to do that, you wouldn't be believing the flat earth theory
