he gives prissy people that still can't stomach Trump's win a way to feel superior to the POTUS without any effort or independent thinking on their part. they all are desperate to nestle inside this narrative cocoon where they think his impeachment is just around the corner, so they can wake up from this nightmare and go back pretending that Trump's win didn't signify the fact that several important issues weren't even on the radar of either party

I used to like Colbert. When he first started he was genuinely funny, and spent time poking fun at both sides of the spectrum, though he was always a lefty.

It was around when Obama won back in 2008 I think that I started tuning him out. Havent watched his show in a decade.
