We used to have all these societal rules that were very racist, misogynistic, homophobic, bigoted, ect. And I don't mean in the way SJW's use the words. We had actual racists who would lynch people and infiltrate government so they would not be tried. Women couldn't vote, get jobs, or do much else besides pump-out babies. Homos were road-hauled through town, beat, castrated, murdered ect. Religions other than Catholic and Protestant denominations were shut the fuck out. No Mosque, very few Temples.

Then situations changed. We were a developing and expanding nation. Cities being built, infrastructure being laid, ruthless in our pursuit of dominating our lands. After the Gold Rush, we set about building the Highway System. We began a nesting period and stop expanding. There were no more worlds to conquer.

With the work done, we started to settle inequalities. To grow tolerant of others. The Civil rights movement ended much of the systemic racism, WW2 brought women into the workforce. Homosexuality was still marginalized until the 90's, but the LBGT movement has normalized their own brand of insanity. The religious caste we had set up was overthrown by Nietzsche and Time Magazine. Everything was in balance.

When a soldier comes home from war, they continue to go through the combat motions. PTSD and all that. For the last 100 years Liberals have been fighting for rights, and now that they have them they need another victim to save. Enter Transgender folk. With no more battles left to fight, the Left has to scream for equal rights for 1% of the population, who are already a protected class.
