All true. My point is more that our people don't willingly sacrifice now for the positive effect on our future generations, and that is by design. Not drinking craft beer, having a i-gadget and going out to eat is really not a big price to pay to homeschool our kids, because that benefit will accrue and benefit not only our own immediate family. No one will likely remember or appreciate it but this is what our ancestors did and what we need to do as well.

I do agree also about the cleansing fire - there will always be some who cannot come along with us, by choice, circumstance or nature. We have to compensate.
