>Bulgaria intends to sign an agreement with Serbia on the transit of Turkish Stream gas, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said.
>The head of government drew attention to the fact that if Russia wants to stop gas transit through Ukraine, then Bulgaria can take gas from the Turkish Stream, RIA Novosti reported.

Ukraine will be by 2019 stop being a transit state for russian gas, they will be utterly depedent on Vlad's mercy.

Ahahahahahah.

I did not see that one coming. Thanks.

>Ukraine will be by 2019 stop being a transit state for russian gas, they will be utterly depedent on Vlad's mercy.
Yes

Ukraine's industry is very dependent on Russian energy. The same energy that Russia will now stop exporting towards them.
This will definitely crash their economy which will lead to their annexation. That's why the US abandoned them and moved the buffer to Poland instead.

>annexation
Not really. We aren't USSR or US, we aren't gonna wage war for the sake of virute signalling. Our goal in Ukraine was a buffer, in it's current state of complete chaos it's a decent enough buffer. Eventually if sanity triumps and pro-russian or pro-ukrainian government takes power from pro-western one we might help it recover, but untill than it simply would cost us too much to implement an annexation of such a large territory in such a bad state.

They've already all but stopped buying gas from Gazprom.
>>
>>133143314
You realise they still need most of the gas the were getting? You realise that they are buying it from EU? You realise that EU is buying most of it's gas from Russia?

If you do, you will also realise that they are just paying a middleman so that they can sell "we are independent from russia" meme to the stupid-nationalist part of the electorate?
>>
>>133142849
>we aren't gonna wage war for the sake of virute signalling
The last thing you're going into a war for is that. You have interests into restoring Soviet frontiers, both strategic and economic

>but untill than it simply would cost us too much to implement an annexation of such a large territory in such a bad state.
Not if its economy crashes and Russia offers the only solution, as the EU obviously wont

>>133143314
The gas coming from the EU comes from Russia first, then the EU adds their own cut as the middle men and then adds to that transportation costs through all those pipes, proceeding to sell what is now pretty much one of the most expensive gases you can buy. Ukraine is incapable of surviving on such overpriced gas and its price sadly cannot be lowered. When you see Ukraine buying gas from the EU you can count it off as buying gas from Russia but with extra cost
>>
>>133143314
And those "imports from EU" are most likely russian gas delivered via North Stream to Germany which is then resold back to Ukraine at a higher price.
>>
>>133141176

>A senior analyst of 'Uralsib Capital', Alexei Kokin, speaking to Vestnik Kavkaza, stressed that neither the current agreement with Hungary on supplies of Russian gas, nor the forthcoming signing of an agreement between Bulgaria and Serbia yet guarantees the implementation of the European part of the Turkish Stream.

The extension of Tirkish Stream into the EU is still nowhere in sight.

Yeah, but if the USSR would ignore the cost and do it anyway, like afganistan, we have to actually consider the price of doing so.

>Not if its economy crashes and Russia offers the only solution
That's a possibility, certainly, tho given how little fucks the current administration seems to give about the future of the country, I have my doubts.

We are building an additional one straight from russia to germany, just in case.

Our end goal is that no one can cut the flow of gas. One can argue that we can still do it ourselves, but why would we? we are perfectly happy to sell gas.

>>133144730
can't do that under french-german umbrella.

The russians are gassing the EU and they are even paying them.

It's not even about imports, but revenue from transit. The government is going to lose a lot of money if the things continue to develop this way.

That is not set in stone. The EU commission hasn't decided yet if it will allow the program to go ahead.

We are doing everything possible short of starting full scale war to protect Donbass, any more and it would do them more harm than good.

No matter how much east-ukrainians hate the current gov and shit they get up to, a bloodbath in their own lands isn't gonna make them like russia more, only less.

hohol economy is decimated and in raging recessions
hohol industry right now is non existent

why then they would need all the gas that they used to consume?
IT REALLY ACTIVATES MY ALMONDS?
>>
>>133146287
I read quite a lot of analysis on Donbass and they all agree on 2 things.

1. Kiev's decision to stop buying coal from them and economic blocade has resulted in de-facto independence.

2. Since Putin has signed a law recently that Russia now recognizes DPR/LPR documents that is practically recognition of their independence.

3. This will last for decades. Slow salami tactic with dismemberment of Ukraine.

Kiev currently has no strategy, as a geopolitical actor, this is caused by sheer selfservedness and incompetence of the people democrats put into power there in 2013-14, they as a consequence lost all sovereignty in international decisions. The outcome of conflict in Donbass will be the outcome of a global conflict, that hopefully will never escalate into full scale war, between Unipolar US led world, Multipolar world Russia has been pushing since putin gave up on becoming part of EU/Nato, and their respective supporters.

Tho I very much doubt it will last for decades. Ukraine in it's current state is gonna run out of money by 2019, and very few international actors, not even US, is willing to bankroll it in perpetuity. There is a number of anti-social reforms (i.e. reforms that try to improve economy at the cost of population living shittier lives) currently being demanded by IMF of Kiev before it will be given the next loan.

But one can only sustain this shitshow for so long, just look at how much greif Greece is causing for EU, do you think US needs it's own greece, with next to no benefits other than denyting it to russia?
>>
>>133143314
lel you realize they lost basically half of their consumption, which means their economy is crashing.

When they are at zero so is their economy.

expected more from a a mountain jew.
