Because the quality of degrees in different parts of the world do not match up. I would not hire a North African aero eng.

With that said, I know Bombardier (thanks Federal/Quebec government), Safran and Airbus are set up in Morocco to take advantage of cheap labour and like hiring local "talent". However, often this ends up costing the same as the second-worlders fuck up to an extent previously unimagined and the companies have to fly in contractors, consultants and employees on excessive wages to fix it. Several of my mates were sent down to Mexico to fix their problems and are on the receiving end of $3k a week.

I have met many French engineers, British, Irish, American engineers that get hired with said companies and then they ship them abroad. Hell, I'm one of the above nationalities that was offered a place with good cash over here.

In seven years, I've never met one third worlder shipped in with a company. The first worlders are shipped into your shitholes because third worlders fuck products up beyond belief. Bombardier nearly bankrupted themselves by internally supplying from Mexico because of their delays and poor quality of build.
