Partially it's genetics that make them incapable of succeeding in life to the same extent as whites.

But there's also the cultural aspect where they've been told repeatedly that they're not succeeding because of racism. It's led them to thinking that if they're not living as well as whites that this means it's because of racism.

There was an interesting joke done by I think Chris Rock, where he commented on how in his neighborhood there was a famous black rapper, black basketball player, famous black movie star, and then the punchline was some white dentist also lived alongside them all. Blacks often think those 'jobs' like rapping, sports player, or movie star are the proper jobs you try for, the idea that someone that's a dentist is essentially in the same income bracket doesn't occur to them. Like many famous musicians will make about as much money as a manager at a Luby's cafeteria. There's this warped perception of what it means to be successful which means they don't even think about trying to work their way up in generally plain Jane type professions.

There's also a major problem where blacks often feel you're cheating on being black by behaving 'white' which to them means working hard, speaking well, or not acting like being a criminal is laudable. So they bully anyone that tries getting out of this degenerate system of behavior.

But you can even hear how detached blacks are from much of society by the fact they just sound different with their accent. You can just listen to a black guy's voice and notice they sound black.
