Trade workers see concrete results from their work, they get paid rather well in most cases, and can often choose how many hours (money) they want to work.

Sure, the foreign guest workers undercut some trades, but there are plenty of patriots who refuse foreign labour, and the work is often of worse quality, which many home-owners are afraid to risk (why save 10.000 dollars on a new roof if it turns out to be leaky and you get a 50.000 dollar fungus infection)

There are also far fewer women in trades. Not to go all MGTOW here, but I really think that some or most men thrive better the fewer women they have to work with (depending on field and the individual women of course)

I read an article recently that Israel has a severe lack of skilled blue-collar workers. So severe that there are entire factories closing down due to understaffing after older employees retire.
What's even more surprising is that these jobs here begin at around 2000$/month and can reach upto 4000$/month.

The same happened in the states. Trades were literally never brought up as an alternative to (((university))) and when any student ever brought it up it was as a joke that elicited laughter.

Speaking for myself as a trade worker. The pay is good, but what is really nice is having time off. I'll work for a few weeks, have a few weeks off, repeat. Not having to go into work everyday for months on end really helps keep the stress down.

I disagree. The best thing you can do for your life is to move abroad. It sounds like a big step, a big deal, and it is, but it's totally worth it because the benefits outweigh the negatives.

The people in the UK are being sold a lie and on that you are correct, but it's not going to change. The attitude of the people is they want it to get more fucked up and heading towards further degeneracy under the guise of progressivism.

The reason competition is high is because London has been sold as this dreamy place of multiculturalism when really its a cesspool of shit. That drove up prices in London and had an impact on everything elsewhere, as demand then spread.

Also, even if you get a degree in the UK you will get a shit salary for years and won't get a mortgage until you're in your 30s, if you're lucky, or unless the bank of your mother and father give you help.

The cost of living is also sky high and the UK is not as great as people think. The NHS is in a terrible state with ridiculous waiting lists, transport is expensive, the food is unhealthy so its no surprise so many people there are whaling it and there is a drugs epidemic nobody wants to address because coke fuels the banking sector whilst other drugs like heroin and meth help keep the degenerates monged out, and stops them protesting or causing problems.

I work for a corporate company. I came here after uni, worked my bollocks off and got recognition for it and have done well continuously. In the next few years I'll buy a detached place on the outskirts of the city with a nice garden.

I wouldn't recommend becoming an Electrician to anyone in the UK, certainly not if you are going to be house bashing. Myself I have spec'd into ventilation as that's gonna be a new big thing here soon.

Problem is that the average house now has so much more stuff to install. Every bedroom has extra sockets, kitchens and bathrooms have extra spotlights where once you would just have a regular light fitting. Most new houses have some sort of fancy heating or a solar panel that needs extra wiring and most of the time this extra stuff is just not included in the price.

On the building site I would say the joiners are earning the meat bucks. Specifically the timber frame guys. A lot of new houses have gone from traditional brick build to a timber frame and those guys are on crazy money.

The kitchen fitter too is earning crazy money. They can make £1000 a week easily whereas I am having to bust my balls to get anywhere near that now.
