In lieu of the riots in Hamburg, I was just thinking about what sort of people are part of Antifa. That is mostly: middle-class, white millennials.
These kids were probably raised their whole lives (like me) with their schools and parents telling them how great they are and how they can be anything they want to be when they grow up. Fuck, I remember this high school seminar my class attended called "be the change" that was some vague feel-good garbage that offered nothing to students other than slogans like "YEAH. YOU CAN DO IT." fit for a motivational poster.
You know, I just started to realize how fucked up public education is but this is really stuck on my mind atm. These kids who were told to be big dreamers and to believe in themselves are the adults now who want the rich and the governments of their homeland dead. They didn't work as hard as they should have because they lived in an echo chamber of mindless support and/or were allowed grades they did not earn.
Antifa gives them the camaraderie and the adventure they sought as children. They feel as if they're "part of something big" when donning all black and going up against riot police. I can't believe how ignorant they are of their criminal actions. They're wearing black clothing that conceals their identity for God's sake!
Anyway, my point being: Do you guys think this was a goal of (((those))) in charge of public education? Or have I begun a downward spiral into the realm of crackpot conspiracy theories.
It's not just public education this thing is being sheltered before that.
