True. We live in very divided times right now where people want different things. I personally believe the pendulum is moving more towards social nationalism because from what I have seen so far only this type of politics has a voice as in the alt right, yet on the other hand libertarians are by far civ nat. The lib fash meme hasn't concretised at all in real life from my own experience. Never met a libertarian who isn't appalled at the notion of a white ethnostate.

The problem here i think is the illusion of universalism. Weather an ethnic or a cultural group is more socialist or libertarian by nature varies massively, and so different ethno-states would choose different level of state control.

The problem comes from allowing people from non-compatible cultures and ethnicities migrate to the state, for it forces the state to adapt policies that are either contradictory to the hosts own natural policies, or even actively hostile to it.
