Yes, he created basically good and evil and knows how everything will end (to some extent we also know). But there is a reason for this creation. We have a free will, everyone has a choice. God wants to see who is HIS true children and who is not (but remember this, he already knows the outcome though because he is almighty). You might wonder why he bothered creating everything if he already knew the outcome and wouldn't it be easier to just accept all humans to the heavens? It's quite simple if you think. Like I said before, we have a free will and he wants us to make choice, between Him or the world (basically Satan). He didn't create robots but us humans in His image (well, fallen image right know thanks to Adam)
