I don't think the public will ever be able to recognize an obvious threat again after 9/11. So many people, even all the lefties, got so worked up and so angry about being attacked that at least for a good while they could have been pointed at anyone and attacked them and felt righteous. Their minds were broken, and they're terrified of ever letting themselves be like that again, so they've pushed hard the opposite direction. Never judge anyone or anything. Even migrant rapists are just misunderstood.
