I can't name a single conflict in which they won by strategy and didn't and not by tiring an enemy out?

Russia also defeated Hitlers Germany at the Battle of Stalingrad almost completely alone. The entire reason the battle happened was because allied forces eased up on the western front to coax Germany into tearing apart Russia for free then the US/UK would sweep in and destroy both defeated armies.
The cold war happened because Russia shit on Germany and still had 60 more years of fight left in them. Truman was a hack and Roosevelt would never have let the British fuck over daddy Stalin like they did.
