A left wing government would grant working class whites cheaper health care, an increased minimum wage and more gibs.
It would also increase taxes paid by the working class and make finding work more difficult due to the increased wage cost and competition from immigrants both legal and illegal. The working class is the group which suffers the most from these factors. They have made a cost/benefit calculation and decided your policies would make them worse off.
It would be easy for the left wing to gain these people as voters, the white male working class is the group which MADE the modern left. All the left has to do is make policies which address these concerns.
