For something being used in any sort of firefight, where you're firing lots of rounds and the barrel is going to heat up and lose accuracy? Yeah, there is such a thing as "too much" because accuracy becomes a game of diminishing returns. There's a reason why modern high-dollar military kit like the SCAR, even ones designed to be battle rifles or DMR rifles, are only optimized for 1-2MOA max.
