In the US Federal Government is supposed to be limited from interfering too much in how states and regions govern themselves. Why? Because society just works better like that. What you end up with is areas like Amish villages that are totally theocracies because that's how they want to live. If nobody is bothering each other then there should be no problem.

The issue though is there are certain people that are black and/or muslim who can't govern themselves without becoming a drag on everyone else in their vicinity in the process.
