I am genuinely sympathetic towards Christians around the Middle East.

I really hate hawkish interventions around there. Other than demolishing IS, which really is necessary, I hate everything that's been done out there.

At the same time, as for the matter of said Christians coming out to the US or Europe, keep in mind that you will lose your community, and your children will grow up to be shiftless hedonist atheists.

I really hope some stability can come back to the area and these ancient sects and ethnicities can persist there, in their lineage and in their faith.

Coming west, while I guess I would actually be generous towards Christian refugees, really isn't the best idea unless you're in danger (I'm sure many are at the moment). Otherwise, make it work out there if you can, or be prepared to lose everything that you have been. And not for the better.
