Why do I constantly see Europeans talk about how the American concept of white nationalism wouldn't apply in Europe because Europeans see themselves as even more separate from one another (on the basis of nationality)?

I'm not saying they're wrong. It's just something I see them say every so often and I don't get why. It's not like there's a powerful white nat organization in America trying to force white nationalism on you. Go ahead and keep your British and French identities. I recognize there are more subtle differences between you. More power to you.
