What if we gave South Korea nukes and anti-missile technology and then dropped all sanctions on North Korea?
Would there be peace?
The North would know they couldn't conquer the South and they wouldn't be all fucked up and starving any more.

the best diplomatic solution since we are still technically at war with NK, is surrender. We surrender conditionally, the terms would be Kim steps down and elections are held for the north to rejoin the south under democratic rule.
In surrender Kim can declare victory over the war his grandfather did not win and will be able to save face to step down. He can then retire in peace. It is victory in defeat.

Impossible, this assumes Kim actually runs the country. A cadre of generals and military eletes keep the reigns in NK, Kim is kept as a figure head anda link back tot he grandfather.

You would make another missile crisis which would cause DEFCON to become DEFCON 2. You would cause nuclear war because of that.
