You can live a modest quiet happy life, If you don't bother your head with how west is advanced in terms of quality of life. We have everything that have west people, except good roads and big salaries. But we don't afraid to be robbed some nigger or muslim also.

Low taxes, goverment respect of private property, yeah the canal helps a lot to keep taxes down, a lot of service sector has been developed and you can pretty much setup a business in 6 days if you want.

If you are a foreigner and got $5,000 for investment you get a residency.

We got our fair share of problems (corruption, etc) but nothing unlike other places.

Panamanians look up to america and other first world countries for reference, the rest of central america look up to each other.

Also, having the dollar helps a lot due to removing the ability for inept officials to play with our monetary policy and keeps the inflation down.

I found the Philippines to be comfy as fuck. Granted, I was only there for 3 months and stayed at a swanky beach resort on a fairly isolated island. Was doing some contract work with a mining company looking to invest in Australia and they needed an experienced geological researcher to assess the viability of several companies.

I was fucking up to three women a day, a lot of them where the staff members of the resort, a few of them half breeds so they were pretty hot and attractive.

Drank fresh coconut juice while at the beach when I wasn't fucking or working and skinny dipped at midnight too with the girls.

Got drunk with some of the locals signing karaoke etc.


It was fun.
