I remember when I was 14 and my entire class got the opportunity to send self made articles to our region's newspaper that they would publish if approved.

Here are a few notable moments from my time as a student in Sweden

When I was 13 years old the entire school (200+ kids) were made to sit in a lecture hall. A giant man dressed in female clothing walked up on stage and told us in explicit detail how he found out he was a transvestite. At the end of the lecture we did various exercises that boiled down to wrongthink questions. If you agreed to a statement you stood up and if you disagreed you sat down. My friend was shamed in front of the entire school because he didn't stand up (agree) that the grown man wearing leggings and women's underwear on stage was acceptable.

In history class the teacher touched on the subject of ubermensch. He then made a form that us students filled out. Me and two other girls fit the nazi criteria and were made to stand in front of the class and be shamed as he read the war crimes made against jews. I had a very hard time making friends after that.

We were told that race doesn't exist and that white people will no longer exist in the future. We were told in class that our language would no longer be Swedish but a mixture of foreign languages and slang. We were told that Sweden has no culture and that gender is a social construct. This was presented in a dogmatic way as beautiful and the only and true future of our society.

I think that's a good way of approaching things. It's terrible when history education lacks context and logical flow - for example, we did Ancient Egypt, the Middle Ages, colonisation, WW1, WW2 and a couple of unmemorable things. It's pointless learning these things out of context and out of order because it doesn't give the student a real understanding of the world, but only an in depth understanding of "isolated incidents". We would have been better off learning about ancient Greece and Rome, the Mongols, the age of exploration or the Reformation instead of learning about shit like the intricacies of Egyptian pyramid structure.

I went to a private school at a Russian embassy. The atmosphere was very similar to the pictures you have been posting.

You might relate or might not, but my teachers would constantly bitch about how life was better in the Soviet Union. Most teachers would only do it once a day for the exception of the (((history))) teacher; he sometimes would go on a rant for an entire class period talking about the goddamned Soviet Union. I was so sick of him that purposely did the Roman salute in front of him just to piss him off (I was in middle school, if that excuses my naiveness).

One time in sixth grade I got bored during class and drew a swastika in my notebook just to entertain myself. Perhaps a week later my teacher asked us to turn in our notebooks, so she would check our work. By that time I completely forgot about the swastika, and I did not hesitate turning in the notebook. The next day I was called to the principal and later my parents were called to the principal to discuss my "inappropriate" illustration.

Anything related to the Third Reich was strictly prohibited at our school and that has led me to where I currently stand politically today.

I was in high school when Law&Justice first came to power.

They changed all school books. Instantly teachers were forced to tell us how colonisation improved Africa, how Confederate States were good guys and how Medivial Ages wern't dark but were the best ages.

I don't know what they teach youth right know, but 10 years ago it was insanely based.

I actually struggle with sz vs ś. I can produce the sounds accurately, but I can't hear the difference.

But I don't have this experience. People here treat me well, and are very happy when I can speak a little Polish to them. Poles are much more patient with letting me struggle to express myself in Polish, rather than the French who have no time for you if your French isn't perfect.

I remember once we had to write a resumee for a homeless child somewhere from india. We had to put our names on it and pretend we're that homeless kid.

Or once we had to visit a mosque, we travelled with the whole class to another bigger city only to visit it.

We had to learn about the turkey-german deal and had to praise turks for rebuilding our country.

Hell I even remember white kids being punished more for the exact same mistakes. I remember one guy who got attacked by some turk, that guy I knew beat his ass. Turks from all kinds of school gathered to beat him up afterwards, they didn't succeed he got away. But all the teachers were practically defenceless.
