Europe was undoubtedly at it's greatest under pagans. Whether it was Romans having the greatest civilization the world had ever seen, or Alexander the Great conquering nearly all of the known world, pagans brought Europe to it's height of power.

Once Christianity took power, Europe became a disgusting and backward shithole for over 1000 years. It took over 1000 years for Europe to initiate separation of state-and-church, and to finally conquer the world after having dropped Christianity out of politics and power.
