I've been to South Africa plenty of times, I definitely wouldn't consider it a genocide. Sure the affies had a go at the farms, but I wouldn't say it is at all a genocide.

I've heard stories too, but I'd say it isn't the government anymore. Last year, a pretty successful family that owned a couple hundred acres high-tailed it to Canada one night after seeing one of their sons kidnapped, tortured, and then returned to them as a virtual cripple. My father is lucky though, his farm is mostly tobacco, and he hires a ton of locals that would otherwise be unemployed or criminals. They are all Ndebele folks and they love my dad. I'm not too concerned.
