>During the Crusades, Muslims treated Christians and Jews better than Catholics did Orthodox Christians and Jews
>The Muslims were more advanced in science, math, and war
What happened to Islam? Used to be pretty cool actually.

Nope. This is bullshit you learned in PC school. The crusades were largely a defensive war. Based Poland circa 911. Looks like the Pols might have to save Western Civilization again. Hopefully we repay them better than last time with 1000 years of Polack jokes.

They never innovated, their achievements were from the great centres of learning in the ME they captured, and while for awhile they did use and uncover them ultimately those places were destroyed by Muslim,or Mongolian forces or deemed heretical and forgotten.

It is very easy to know that it is true. Pre-islam sects and pagan faiths still exist (Zoroastrianism, nestorianism, etc). Christian sects still exist in Muslim lands. Conquered peoples that were the members of Muslim empires for hundreds of years still maintain their culture.
Pre-Christian faiths were attempted to be completely destroyed, ethnicities that resisted forceful conversion were suppressed, exiled or cleansed. Similarly, heretical Churces were purged. The biggest wars of Christiandom were not against Islam (and all crusades against islam failed completely anyway), but against fellow europeans and Christians.
