I think part of it is the "progressive" is indoctrinated into hating white people and the history of white people so much throughout grade school, high school, college that he/she starts to lean toward other authorities to help define what they want to be. A lot of times they'll turn to communism or socialism because progressives are taught that capitalism makes war and famine and poverty but communism gives everyone a fair share.
