Easier does not equal better
Having done both, white collar is way easier but the time moves at a snail's pace, hate it
Blue collar, you can physically see the contribution you are making and you keep your hands busy, keep fit, and the time passes quickly. Sure, it's harder, but it's rewarding and what would be an 8 hour shift in an office feels like 2 hours on a working floor.
>>
>>131705872
Easier, AKA even more monotonous and the type of job liable to drive you postal. Physical work isn't for everybody; some people would rather have a job that pays 50k a year where they can sit on their ass in front of a computer. There are other people would rather have a job that pays 50k a year where they can do something physical and at least build some muscle while they work.

Machining is a great skilled trade and the industry is perfect right now for young people starting out in the world who don't want to be in debt 100k for a degree that lets them sit in a cubicle for realistically much less than a skilled tradesman. (Think plumbers and electricians who make bank) OP sounds like a gigantic pussy who doesn't want to get dirt on his soft effeminate hands.

when i was toolmaking we were constantly getting brand new injection molds from china, by the time the customer gets the mold on line, they may as well have got it built in australia

in some ways, it can look good on paper
if it's tool you aren't going to need for more then 2yrs (because you've changed your product line) why pay big $$$ for something that lasts 10+yrs?
it never works out like that tho, the chinks lie about what material they use, they can't design for shit and once the tool is delivered, that's it, you're on your own

Yes and that's exactly why burgers have ITAR. Basically means no other nation can even see the drawings. And I had solar frames (Weldments) 3 different kinds of aluminum from Chinks. When we welded it together and seen it the next day... Huge cracks appeared. Chinks actually sent one good 5 ton part 6160 and the other 15 parts were in the 2120 grade. Obama has cool with it.

Mayhe it's because the rucking campuses are biased as hell. Maybes its the fact that professors telling us everyday that WE are the problem for something in the thrid world. Yet here we are, unable to finish our degrees, find jobs, or start a family. Meanwhile, millions upon millions of savages.from the third world come here at the consent of our goverment to replace us in the workforce for lower wages. They also ruin our safety by bringing along their culture taboos and non-democratic ways. They destroy our enviroment, destroy our econony, destroy our streets, and destroy our country. And the worst part is, nobody is doing a damn thing about it. Not even Trump. Liberals are nothing but fuel added to the fire that is the fall of western civilization. I recommended you look back at the roman empire but I'm sure you didn't cover that in your Orgasm Plunderphonics Music Classes.

Someone tell me where I'm wrong here.
I started working out of HS since I wasn't sure how to pay for college or if I even wanted to go, I've been working for about 2.5 years and have over 70k in the bank from living at home and saving every dime I make from a 45-50k job. If I work another 1.5 years I'll have over 100k, assuming I was to invest that in an index fund or something the average return is what, like 5-10%? So I'd effectively be adding 5-10k to my yearly salary, that's similar to a fresh college grad's salary, except with no debt and having a hundred fucking grand in the bank. And that's assuming I don't even get any pay raises which I have every reason to believe that I will.

So what am I missing here?

They're all jobs
They're all bad in their own way
Find the one that impedes the least upon your personality

Some people enjoy building things
Some people enjoy designing things
Some people enjoy moving around
Some people enjoy sitting down
Some people enjoy working with machines
Some people enjoy working on a team
Some people don't mind getting their hands dirty
Some people would rather stay inside

In my experience, having been on both ends, the desk jobs involve more nonsense and people interaction in a false and contrived setting, and the day feels infinite and grueling, even if you're busy, because it's just the same redundant nonsense over and over again.

I'm 30 never had a job besides working with my dad a few times 10 years ago.

How hard is life as a normie having to worry about working n stuff like that?

White Collar:
>Easy
>Healthier
>Pay 10x Blue Collar
>Less physically demandingl; more energy everyday

Blue Collar:
>8-10 hours every day
>Dirty, dangerous
>Physically demanding, in some cases extremely
>Often shipped to oil sites for 2-3 weeks on 1 week off
>Unhealthy
>Average wages

If you're going to be a wageslave your whole life white collar is clearly better. At least at 40-50 you'll still have an intact skeletal structure and be relatively healthy whereas heavy blue collar workers start giving out around 40-50 with worn out joints, arthritis, respitory problems, hearing damage etc

He landed up with work at an armored car company making $25 per hour while he waits.

Ye but you have almost no free time because you're almost always working out of town. If you were wise you'd spend 1-2 years saving everything you could and then exit that job and start a business where you could within a few years be able to make money without even showing up.

Any time you actually have to personally show up to make money you are a slave.

>ECE fag here

The problem with STEM is that you kill yourself with numerous complicated courses from various fields and in the end you become some sort of "jack of all trades master of none" while any technician will be several times more competent in a specific field than you are, even if the degree lectured you something of that specific area.

You literally never apply 90% of what you learned lol.

MFW I quit my day job making 30k a year while being taxed @ 70% in the United States where the IRS takes it straight out of your pay before you touch it

And I have made $1700 this week alone with my small masonry/fencing/concrete company, pay no federal taxes, and I only do physical labor about 15 hrs a week.

Meanwhile a college grad is most likely to make $50,000, and after fed, state, sales, excise, and local taxes you make about $1700 a month

Well, it depends. If you go to grad school, then you specialize in one area, but this focus is so tight, it might not even be practical in the real world (oxidation of glutathione in various pH solutions), so you come out with something that is just useless. The academia professors say "but the degree proves you can DO RESARCHH N SHEIT" and "muh publications" "muh conferences" which nobody even asks you about at the interview process for a job.

I have a friend who works as a lab tech, he says that there are people who have worked there for 3-4 years still waiting for promotion. They have no vacation, no benefits, nothing. They can also get fired at any point, since there is like 14-15 candidates for that one job which are mostly med school drop outs. So chemistry is a perfect major for masochists. I can't count all those hours of sleep I lost while studying for quals and worrying about my lab project and thinking what to present at group meeting, since you have no data when half the shit in the lab doesn't even work properly cause it's 20+ years old.

But I definitely got good in the art of bullshitting through, which is what majority of the science papers are (sadly) nowadays.

>You literally never apply 90% of what you learned lol

I think this can be said about a lot of other degrees as well, not only STEM.

I got a degree in electrical engineering while working my ass off part time as an electrician in my spare time. Now that I'm out of school (it's only been about a year), I'm bored as hell. I'm pissed too because most companies are now based off of either borrowed money from investors(who will get what they want, period) which fucks anyone that isn't a manager over a long period of time, or it's fake hype to generate crowd funding and pre-orders, which fucks everyone instantly when the magic product doesn't get delivered.

So now, fuck it, I'm becoming a cop. If I come up with a unique product idea, I'll use my expertise to start my own company company, and run it my way.

Seriously, fuck engineers from the millennial generation. They're a dime a dozen these days. So many colleges pump them out with high GPAs that they didn't earn. Entry level jobs are starting to require masters degrees because people with B.S. degrees are so incompetent. Good luck getting a top notch job unless you're connected. Engineering degrees will soon be worthless.

A lot of people just start a small blue collar business, like plumbers or painters. A lot of people are independent realtors or Investors. Come to think of it, everything in our economy revolves around real estate (homes) and oil. You either work in oil, or you work in real estate so the oil drones have a place to stay. At least that's how it is in Texas. Anyone not in either of those fields is probably a service cuck servicing both classes.

This. White or blue collar is like democrats and republicans. The same fucking thing. There are employees, self employed inviduals, business owners, and investors.

Employee, wants security and 10 days vacation a year. Kind of like a slave but they get to buy a lot of debt so that if they quit their job they will be divorced and sleeping under a bridge.

Self employed people work very hard, like the employee, but all income stops when they leave for their grandmothers funeral. Think of a plumbing contractor or a dentist

Business owners own a business, and they can take a week off and still earn money. Think of a restaurant owner or sign shop owner

Investors open a business, then open another business with their leftover money, and keep buying businesses and houses. All managed at lower levels.

This is one of the biggest problems we have now. Literally everyone can go to college now and get some shitty degree. It used to be a privilege for people who could afford it or worked their ass off and had the aptitude. Now all it takes is either being not white or filling out a loan application and you on your way to wasting your time for a worthless degree now that everyone has them. I would love to see up to date stats on employment for college educated under 35. Sure accessible college sounds great but it in reality it has devalued college degrees across the board. This is not even taking into account the problems we are facing because nobody wants to enter a vocation (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, millwrights, etc...) which can be just as lucrative and sometimes more so than traditional degree based careers or that universities are just degenerate communist daycares. It's simple supply and demand. Enjoy being a barista with your 4 year bachelors in business or whatever fuck off degree you're getting because mommy and daddy told you "You Special and can do anything you want".

That is why capitalism is beautiful. If you are willing to take your life seriously, you will fail 9/10 times but it only takes 1 success and there is no looking back with proper asset management.

I worked 45 hours a week in sales since I was 18, and now I work 15 hours a week loving what I do, earning triple because I pay no tax. Drudging work isn't exclusive to trades.

I was pursuing an accounting degree a few years back, and let me tell you it was the most soul crushing thing to do just coursework on it. Couldn't imagine having an entire career revolving around that, personally. So I withdrew.

I'm not considering a trade because I don't trust my sheltered body is up to snuff for that kind of work at the moment. Looking to go back into uni for Neuroscience since I realized (particularly through /pol/) over the recent years I really like trying to understand people, and things like Psychology are liberal, oversaturated meme degrees. Besides, I figure that if I'm gonna do that, I should just go all in instead of playing in the shallow side of the pool.

I can still respect the people who take up a trade though and can understand what joy they could find in it. I can appreciate their work just as much as I can appreciate an accounant going through books in his offic all day. Whether or not work sucks entirely depends on you. That's why you better reflect before investing into anything with regards to work.

I believe that living through God is to prosper and succeed in the way that your soul tells you to deep down. Some people are teachers, philosophers, police officers and that's great. I just feel like my calling in life is to be a gangster. If I ignore that calling in life, wouldnt I be living a wasted life?

you know its a sin to be rich right

1 Timothy 6:9
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Mark 4:19
And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Luke 6:24
But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

Luke 12:21
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

Nice copypasta. The word, when talking about riches, refers to materialism. I drive an $800 truck, clothes from Goodwill, live in a $40,000 house. I just earn $6-8000 a month 9 months out of the year tax free. If I took that money, and bought a $20,000 BMW, a $200,000 house, and a boat, that kind of love and lust for material goods would cloud the fruitfulness that I enjoy in life.

If I was not right with God, I don't believe that I would be truly happy. And I am truly happy. I don't do this for the stuff I can buy, I do it for the challenge and the freedom.

I mean it sounds like what you are telling me is that basically the Bible is stating that if you don't want to be a slave, you are sinning. I don't buy that.

>And I am truly happy

thats a very bad sign

John 12:25
He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

>I just earn $6-8000 a month

thats way too much you should give it all up and live voluntarily at your means

and watch for the appearing of god
