The far right IS alternative culture. It's outside the mainstream, hated by the establishment and getting more popular among the youths as a sign of rebellion.

This is the most effective thing you can do. In fact if you follow political podcasts they're talking a lot about how successful this has been for Republicans and how Dems are so far behind on local politics they'll have trouble winning in the future, despite having demographics in their favour.

This because gerrymandering and local politics have huge effects in the macro scale that defy the demographic trends.

And if you hate both Republicans and Democrats as you should, the only real way to get jack shit done in the US is on a local level. Do the Ron/Rand Paul thing and adopt the mantle of a party if you must, but as far as enacting policy, the most freedom you will have is at lower levels.
