High-functioning autists average about 118 IQ while Schizophrenics average about 85 because Schizophrenia included a lack of grey matter which connects the neurons together and why certain functions are inhibited like filtered thoughts from other parts of the brain which cause hallucinations and delusions but negative symptoms are always apparent. I know from experience that Sensoy Processing Disorder is a common autistic thing, but I had no clue that sensory differences are present in schizophrenia as well. The whole "seeing things differently" thing rings VERY true to me even though I'm not schizophrenic to my knowledge. You mentioned lack of pruning in autism and lack of grey matter in schizos. Would having both just create a very hyperconnected brain without inhibition or something?

It's more like the senses in the Schizophrenic brain aren't actively controlled like a normal brain and some senses will quite literally "combine" like you see in Synesthesia. But it's more like the senses will send random signals to each other and affect thinking which cause hallucinations. It's more intense in a dream state. Schizophrenics are much, much, much more likely to have nightmares every single night and may get confused on what the perceive as real life and a dream. The "subconscious" or the automatic parts of the brain including the amygdala responsible for fear and anger has more reign over prime thought and will cause Schizophrenics to have less control of their own thinking. When Schizophrenics hear voices commanding them it's literally their conscious telling their subconscious what to tell their conscious. That's why they hear voices that tell them to kill themselves or other people, it's actually "them" but they have no control and don't know they are actually telling themselves to kill themselves in their mind. It's a bunch of weird shit that's hard to explain.

Yes for the most part. People who have both are very, very distant from other people and will from their own imaginations and own realities in their head. Almost like their dreaming while awake.

It is the cause of the repetitive and stereotyped traits. OCD is an anxiety disorder and Autists are very likely to have anxiety disorder due to an increased size of the amygdala which is also why they may have anger problems and "sociopathy" but that's actually something called Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder. Bipolar disorder is what happens when the brain loses the ability to regulate chemicals in the nervous system. But instead of being what you see with regular depression. You get something 1000x more fucked up every now and then. It's called MANIA. Mania is known to be one of the sickest shit known to man. People with severe mania are usually compared to people on Meth, Heroin, Cocaine, and Ecstasy. That's because there are similar things happening to the brain with people on drugs. Mania is what happens when the brain out of nowhere starts producing a fuckload of dopamine, nor epinephrine, and serotonin. Dopamine is the reward chemical of the brain, it is the feel good shit that happens every time something happens that you like. Even getting a drink of water produces dopamine because it satisfies thirst. But in high amounts of dopamine, shit like gradiose delusions (like feeling like you are a god or can fly), hallucinations, lack of hunger, intense sexual promiscuity, lack of pain, and other shit happens. Norepinephrine is a chemical responsible for attention and relaxation. A lack of norepinephrine is the cause of ADHD and ADD. But Bipolar disorder causes TOO much of this shit. Making Bipolar people create connections of certain thoughts that branch out into crazier shit while also causing them to experience catatonia and will talk to themself instantly, even if they know no one else is there. And since it affects impulsivity as well, Bipolars may lash out suddenly even if not provoked because of something they may have forgotten 2 seconds ago. Sudden memory is common in Bipolar disorder and dissasotive amnesia is common in "episodes". Serotonin is the regulation of mood, simple as that. But bipolar disorder ironically has no regulation of serotonin which probably is the primary cause of it. It also affects thinking so Bipolar people can think very differently at times which may confuse people. Mike Tyson has Bipolar disorder.
