'Member the 4chan-Tumblr war?
Sometimes I wonder /pol/, has the internet changed society for the worse? We are all caught up in our own little world, where we think everything we do on the internet is what matters. The Tumblarites believed that by taking down 4chan they would make the world a better place, this is no different than the War on Terror, it's unwinnable. Imagine if 4chan figured out a way to take down Tumblr, would there be a difference, or would the site just go back up after a certain number of days?

Maybe I'm just being an edgy faggot, but I do feel that anything we do has almost no effect on the way people think. It's almost like the Butter Battle, no matter how much we advance, the opposition still advances with us.
