they haven't been invading other countries for "over a millennium" colonialism as we imagine it only started in the 1400's. Many of the countries that cry about Europeans abusing them were only occupied by europeans in recent history.

The other issue that is never discussed is how europeans going to these places was much like immigrants coming here...they were accepted by a small amount of the native population, who allowed them to conquer and expand throughout the territory, they allied with tribes, cheifs, sheiks etc. etc. this is no different than international organizations, or people like george soros lobbying politicians to allow in immigrants.
