I always see this statement on 4chan, but nobody posts any relevant data. The only example I remember was some chart indicating that Germans usually don't own those apartments they occupy (they usually only rent it), what is really surprising, but it's not enough to say that "Germans are poorer than Greeks".

Compare the average american highschooler with the german equivalent, ask anyone who has been abroad and you will hear the same story every time.
