Who are the type of people that make it into Oxford/Cambridge/Harvard etc.?
How are they so smart and hard working?
On the flip side, here I am chuffed to bits about my offer from London Met. I need BCC in my A Levels though, which I'm not sure I'm gonna get :(. And yes I am 18, I got held back a year :P

You'd be surprised, there's some real cretins who get into Oxbridge. The state school ones are smart, but I'd talk to the public school educated ones for a while before making a decision on their intelligence. Remember the bulk of the students at Oxbridge are leftists, no better than any other socialist bubble.
