Situation: Friend goes through a heartbreaking breakup.

Female sensitivity: Reaching out, an open ear to talk to, trying to cheer up friend by finding them someone new. Understanding that the friend is going to be out of it for a while. (This is one of the situations where female sensitivity works better than male sensitivity.)

Male sensitivity: Disparaging the ex, dismissing the ex. Will probably expect the person going through the breakup to get over it too quickly. Will try to find active solutions, when in the end the only thing that's going to really heal it is continued support over time.

Last thing I want to teach my daughter is that she can look down on men. Teaching her to be successful in live entails not teaching her to blame all her woes on perceived gender disadvantages. She has to learn that life isn't always fair and nice, and that if she wants to earn her keep in the world that she needs to accept her failures as her own. This is the antithesis of feminism (at least modern feminism) today.

Another thing about this is daughters pick up how a man should treat her based off my interactions with her along with my wife.
