What better way to garner support than to lets these criminal groups kill your opponents voters and then build an environment where victims and those opposed to their crimes are chastised? They can literally kill the right, and let their criminal voters free or apologize for them by saying they "dindu nuffin". Then you can continue being opportunist scum by shifting all the blame and hate onto any surviving right wingers involved with the crime, like the cops for instance.
