I worked at my first theater production last night (sound crew) and witnessed a showcase of mostly anemic performances almost all focused on homosexual relationships, their dramatic "struggles" and constant would-be fight for recognition. Why do gays still perpetuate this notion of being systematically persecuted, in this day and age? Most of the homos in attendance appeared to be affluent, lavishly dining, drinking and mingling it up. Doesn't look to me like anyone is being persecuted. Everyone looked happy as shit and could pretty much be as queer or freaky as they want. If anything, I'm the one breaking my straight, blue collar ass to make ends meet. I'm the cheesy "hetero".
Is the gay "struggle" real or are fags just being gay about everything?
