This is an example that everyone could stand to learn from. You can't just ban things and expect it to go over smoothly. By limiting supply you'll directly impact demand. We all know how prohibition in the US went.

Why? The answer is simple: You can't readily incentivize or dissuade man from a course of action hes determined to set upon. You can however persuade him to do the opposite, and this is something we haven't really tried.

We have systems in place that in effect disadvantage and tacitly punish the smoker, but we haven't tried financially incentivizing him to be healthy instead. Outright paying people not to smoke would be radically more effective at reducing tobacco related deaths than any campaign carried out thus far.

honestly though I don't see the problem, second hand smoke is bullshit and the reason that it hasn't been shot down in flames is the same reason race/IQ or global warming isn't talked about, science has been hijacked.

Don't know were you live but the American Midwest is for the smarter folk, avoiding the great lakes (besides Hoosiers) is typical but life out here is white and right. That's not what smoking pipes and cigars is about.
You do feel a little buzz as cigar tobacco has close to 15-20x the nicotine of a cigarette - but since you just let it sit in your mouth it absorbs much slower so it's effects are smaller.
You don't want to inhale cigar smoke anyway. You will cough a lot unless you've been inhaling them all your life and gotten used to it (in which case you're fucked)

Smoker here, and banning smoking indoors is a good idea. Not only do non-smokers get a lot of that nasty second hand smoke shit, it just seeps into a lot of the surfaces. After a while, it's just nasty.

Now here (or at least in my province) they banned it in outdoor patios (why?!), and passed some gay ass law that you have to smoke x amount of feet away from entrances and shit. Some venues used to have designated smoking areas that were fully closed off from the rest of the place, and had quality ventilation and/or air purification, now they don't even have those in some places anymore.

The problem is, that could put some employees at risk that don't smoke. Second hand smoke is bad for everybody, regardless if you're a smoker or not. Having a decent sized patio, or even a sectioned off room that has good air purification would be fine.

I dont think it should be government enforced but establishments should be able to enforce their own rules

family restaurants or general eateries can ban it but if someone wants to have it in their bar or theme/adult restraunt then it should be their choice.

A room should be vented to carry the smoke outside but I think a lot of the hype about second-hand smoke was just that. You need an RSA or equivalent to work behind a bar. You need further training to be an excellent barman who puts together personal requests and complex cocktails.
