Has anyone read Ted Kaczynski's manifesto? His analysis of leftists is absolutely brilliant, every single word is dead on.

>16. Words like “self-confidence,” “self-reliance,” “initiative,” “enterprise,” “optimism,” etc., play little role in the liberal and leftist vocabulary. The leftist is anti-individualistic, pro-collectivist. He wants society to solve everyone’s problems for them, satisfy everyone’s needs for them, take care of them. He is not the sort of person who has an inner sense of confidence in his ability to solve his own problems and satisfy his own needs. The leftist is antagonistic to the concept of competition because, deep inside, he feels like a loser.

I read it.

He's right about a lot of things, modern leftism, how technology is taking over.

Then again, the only reason that technology is taking over is because there's a human behind the whole thing.

What he is right about is that any innovation will be used by the powerful to oppress.

Food for thought.
>>
>>130890855
Well done on missing the point of his manifesto and concentrating on the small part about leftists

Yeah for sure, also people here like to quote him on his views on leftists, He wasn't a fan of any political systems

> 118 Conservatives and some others advocate more "local autonomy."
Local communities once did have autonomy, but such autonomy becomes
less and less possible as local communities become more enmeshed with
and dependent on large-scale systems like public utilities, computer
networks, highway systems, the mass communications media

Do you think psychedelics can open your mind to these possibilities?
I used to do mushrooms regularly and cannabis daily and think ted is a genius.
I often wonder if the mayan, inca, egyptians, or a culture that predates them had the belief on technology. They were extremely advanced for being primitive people.

Also when you think about all the data collection and how it incorporates advertisements it's unbelievable what's possible.
I think eventually everyone will have a different price on products based off what we can afford, this is already done with coupons/reward programs. They have our internet searches, our conversations recorded, our location, our gender age preferences, who we talk to and all their information. This is being used to sell us stuff, and can be weaponized to manipulate, all due to technology.

It should be required reading in school. Of course I have read it. The man is in many ways a genius, it is just a shame and unfortunate that he felt he needed to lash out violently to make a statement. His words were enough without the violence. His violent act accomplished very little to nothing in the grand scheme of things. But his words have power.
>>

He's libertarian.

The most wtf moment of his manifesto (he apparently made it into a book too I didn't read it) is that the dystopia he predicts cannot be avoided, or simply be unplugged, because as humans we will rely on machines for our very survival at some point if we haven't now already. Technology will cure even more diseases, possibly aging, possibly poverty, and all these steps to 'progress' will be welcomed by us since we would be crazy not to welcome a cure for disease or new machine designed medical procedures that can do previously impossible surgeries.

The dystopia comes when the machines have built a world so complex with these new discoveries, humanity cannot rationalize about it, and we need machines to run it for us, ergo the machines have removed our free will which is a defining characteristic of a conscious human.

I also enjoyed his predictions on how humanity will react to this dystopia, describing doctors trying to cure depression with pills and shrinks, then surgery, then finally genetic engineering to remove certain genes from humans to make them more placid and accept the dystopia.

I figured it happens, it would go away with money, but they charged me with drug trafficking and threw me in jail on 50k bail
posted bail and started fighting it, they wouldn't drop the trafficking charge of 5-15 years unless I pled to felony possession.
They reasoned I had a few different types of pot and 2 edibles which was considered processing a schedule 1 substance.
I blew 12k fighting a marijuana arrest and am a felon because of it, never been in trouble before in my life, I think there is something else going on.

If your'e posting on a flagged site like /pol/ you're going to be on some kind of list. Police officers get their details and dispaches from a computer system that determines where they send people at any given point in time. All you need to do is speed and they can pull you over.

They're reading everything I'm saying right now because I'm trying to get a clearance. Or they aren't.

You won't know for sure until you find out that they're tracking your phone and you get arrested and they throw it in your face in court.

Happened to my brother, they were watching me and they ended up tracking his phone after they found out he was dealing pot and they arrested him, he's got a felony now.

NSA can track anything, they have the processing power, CIA has to compete with them so they're actually becoming obsolete because that was their job until the internet.

Also if you're a felon, they're obviously got you on their database.

Trying to analyze 4chan must be a fucking nightmare. The problem with large scale information farming is that sifting through the sea of shit to find anything worthwhile becomes exponentially harder. Even relegating it to machines would be entirely useless, you can't accurately analyze the threat level of a person who is in one threat a neo-nazi, in another a left wing radical, who is spamming BBC threads and also posting inane >tfw nogf garbage.

Not really man, they could just have 10 agents monitoring the board at any given time. That's really quite a small operation if you think about it. I can monitor a few majorly active threads on my own without much trouble. No doubt they likely have mod access as well and can just run your latest IP, MAC address against 4chan database to see which other posts you've made. I'm sure they have an entire UI written for it to make their job easier.

Rely on your senses.

If you see things like police officers parked outside your house or driving by, you ask your phone to direct you to pick up pot and it redirects you to the police station, you are watching TV and all of a sudden the people on the commercial comments on something happening at that point in time, your phone has unusual static on your line and you point it out and it disappears, you know anyone with a top secret clearance, you live in DC or know someone who works for the CIA, list goes on.

Basically you'll know because you would have done something to piss them off and they would have a reason to track you.

If you haven't, you live in a state far away from government related industry you're fine.

They won't assign anyone individually to track you unless they think you're a lone wolf threat or an actual Islamic terrorist or something.

Believe it or not they track people committing crimes all the time and they don't do anything about it because they have to

A) Prove it in court (if they have a gag order they can REALLY screw you, they can bring up anything)

B) Have a reason to think that you're worth their time.

They know I'm a political extremist by now so I'm on their radar. I've been on their radar for years so frankly I don't give a fuck what I say now.

>>
>>130898840
Not really.

You have to mostly give them a reason. Among the reasons are:

1) Posting extremist views online.
2) Going for security clearances or joining the military, requesting anything sensitive from the government in general
3) Committing crimes and getting away with it
4) Knowing someone who works for someone politically sensitive.

Example: I know a former FBI profiler who is a close family friend, one of my good friends has a high level position at the CIA, I've interviewed for NSA contractor positions, I'm under a clearance investigation for a government agency, my friends parents work for the FBI, I know another guy who was involved in the Abu Garabe scandle, I've known at least a dozen people in special forces, I'm well known for political views, I've already gotten in trouble with them, they know I'm a loose cannon. I snuck onto the NSA campus and worked there for a bit.

I've done all the above so they're obviously watching me right now.

Its when Law enforcement has obtained information about a crime via unconstitutional means. They have to present a case that is not based on the unconstitutional evidence so the create a reason to initiate a traffic stop.

According to the court documents, the investigation started with the traffic stop. In reality, a message was sent from the NSA to the DEA who forwarded it to local law enforcement who were instructed to initiate a traffic stop under any available means and then to find the marijuana they know you had

tl;dr: Parallel construction is a law enforcement process of building a parallel—or separate—evidentiary basis for a criminal investigation in order to conceal how an investigation actually began.
>>
>>130899979
I said planting evidence, I didn't say whether it was physical or electronic. I just wonder how many decent people are sitting in jail right now over something like that.

>>130900080
I doubt there's more than a hundred different Americans here posting that shit on a frequent basis.
>>
>>130899931
It works like this.

You'll be sitting there, having a conversation about something and saying something like "I don't understand why I have to go pay my taxes if they're wasting all our money" or something, and then the commercial will say something like "Hey."

You turn your head to the TV and the guy on the screen says:

"You know you can get your money back if you call us right now!"

It's how they fuck with forigen intelligence agents that are in the country without letting them know what's going on. They do it because of plausable deniability, the problem is that now they have legal rights to use it against anyone who they think is going to pose a problem to the government's agenda.

I don't know which agency is in charge of it or who has deals with whatever ISP but they can do it in such a manner that even if there's someone around they won't be able to tell. But I can tell you it might even be fucking automated.

I don't even watch fucking television anymore because of it.

I don't on that.

Everything else I've experienced personally, but that's my suspicion on what they're trying to do.

It's not impossible either. The technology to recognize speech and interpret it is well known already. Just use your amazon echo.

The processing centers the NSA have are gigantic.

One of the things they're trying to do from what I've heard is calculate a massive rainbow table that the NSA can use to break into any given system. Heard that from a hacker who does defense contracting work.

On another note:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MonsterMind

My suspision is that this is way more than just an automated program, it's an attempt to develop an AI that would defend the country against cyberattacks or even physical attacks, going above and beyond a simple algorithm.

My best guess is that their end goal is to develop a autonomous agent - e.g. AI designed to defend against threats. As to what scope that entails I'm not sure but it's more likely than not they're attempting to develop it if they haven't already.

Just a suspicion.

So Spoke Zarathustra. Nietzsche plays the long, long term game with philosophy and goes straight for the human condition.

Beyond Good and Evil has some good parts to it, but it's generally rambling. The TL;DR to it is Nietzsche discussing how victim-focused ideologies inherently encourage weakness and are formed by weak people who want to create an orthodoxy hell-bent on destroying the society that opposes them.

>Static on your telephone
It's not the 1950's anymore, voice traffic is digital and intercepted silently at the switch just like internet traffic is.

I would not do that unless you want to be followed by black SUVs for the rest of your life.

Doubt your letter was delivered. You can't discuss a fucking manifesto LMAO

Yeah, it made me staunchly anti-leftist, whereas before I was a social democrat that held some leftist beliefs. Everyone should read it.

This is apparently where they're doing it.

Who knows. I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to make something like that. It's an educated guess at best.

Obviously they're still subject to some sort of regulation that only a congressional legal think tank would be able to comprehend, at least for the time being.

Eventually they might create Skynet and the drones flying over Syria will be run by it, it it isn't done already. But they're smarter than that, they'll have guys with top secret taking polygraphs supervising it, and it's most likely not going to have a personality anytime soon.

Transhumanism is probably superior to anarcho-primitivism. The psychological problems caused by civilization could be eliminated with genetic engineering, and it is far easier to achieve.

>"The life mission of the individual laboring under a schizoid mindset is essentially carried out in a secluded isolation chamber, where the only self-validation is the echo of inner struggles. There may come a point where the only way appears to be deeper isolation This produces crippling loneliness and enhanced reliance on one's imagination - both of which must be paradoxically denigrated as signs of weakness, since they threaten one's illusion of absolute self-sufficiency and total logic. One becomes an enemy of one's self yet needs this self for survival. It is an endgame with absolute zero on the horizon. All positive emotions and connections are extinguished, and the only thing to cling to in the face of an impending apocalypse is fidelity to one's ideals. Despite all uncompromising , dogged efforts to achieve a secure and safe haven, the outside world and reality will make itself known in due course. When it does, it will be felt as an intolerable invasion of one's sanctuary. In the throes of agonizing emotional deprivation, one may grasp for help from a last vestige of trust - one's family. Yet when family can neither comprehend the intensity of one's struggle, nor feel at ease with the presence of threatening inner torment, one must shut them out too while reeling from the sting of betrayal. One is then trapped with no escape, a fearful animal in a corner. At this point a preemptive strike becomes a rational strategy. If only someone would notice your fear and pain, lift you out of captivity and let you back into the wild, where at least you can continue searching the wilderness for sanctuary and freedom!"

With all of the data available to them, combined with the obscurity of what happens in Black Projects, I wouldn't be surprised if some parts of society are already run by a "Skynet" like blackbox.

Yeah, but it is 10% that is integral to the overarching scheme of his argument.

Whenever I read Ted's description of a liberal it's like I'm reading an analysis of my step father, word for word, who's a huge lib.

Why else does the internet even exist in the first place? Why is it so widespread?

When I hit this post button, it's flying through several servers before it gets to 4chan.

It's well known that most of society is being watched on every corner of the globe, and there's too much information to process.

It's only logical that a computer would be to run it.

To think there's people that don't believe that it's possible. Refuge in audacity indeed.

The mind is always on limited information. You can always add to it. It's defective in its design. Do you really think we can solve any problems using a defective mind? This is why no system will ever work. The mind creates the original problem. You cannot fix the problem with what is creating it in the first place. Understanding this defect, the root of the problem, is the first step to solve it. To put it another way, most of our greatest problems stem because we think we know how to solve them.

>>130905916
There's also the problem that any given person's brain has the computing power that exceed's the fastest computer.

The pliability of the mind isn't a defect, it's the reason why we're so adaptable. The fact is that these superstrcutres we create to try and govern ourselves are specifically created to give more control tnanlne human mind and body can give themselves.

The mind can never be whole. That is defect to what we want. We sense that it could be whole. That one day we will fully understand. That we will create the perfect system that leads to world peace or cures all disease, or something of the sort. We create these systems, idealogies, religions, and we think this will work. These systems are control. We think we need to control it. That all that helps. But it is an error. We want to create something whole using something that is only in part. This can't be done. They may both be called an orange, but you can't make a whole orange from a slice. We must begin to see it for what it is.

Why? Would you also not talk to a soldier or a politician?

You could argue that the most interesting people that have lived and those who are currently living on this planet have been killers. Not many historical politicians, Medieval kings, Roman or Chinese emperors, have not killed, or ordered the killing, of people.

You'd be left with scientists, religious leaders, and artists to talk to, and arguably some of the most successful scientists have been key figures in producing weaponry of all sorts, and religious leaders have produced all kinds of divisions in societies that led to death.

From a political perspective I think psychedelic drugs are a very useful tool for looking past the Overton window. It has allowed me to have a third-person perspective on politics and society. It seems as if you are able to look at something without instantaneously committing yourself to an opinion and being judgmental. A short anecdote:
>Be extremely opposed to current Central Bank policies
>As a result I used to hate Bernanke and the rest of the world's central bankers, and their financial media cheerleader drones
>A year ago or so, I took some ketamin
>Allowed me to think about the current financial system from a central banker perspective
>Now understand them better
>No longer hate the people
>But still hate what they are doing (QE infinity, keeping criminal Too Big To Fail Bankers out of jail etc.)
>Still believe it will all end in tears when the next financial crisis hits

Here, laugh at this idiot.

There is an entire paragraph where he explains how leftists appropriate things like compassion and altruism to control and socialise other people the way they wish.
