I've become aware of a new artwork which I interpret has having political implications, and so I'd like to discuss it with /pol/. The artwork is a series of sculptures entitled "Empire", by one Eva Rothschild. I first became aware of this series by visiting a modern art (Walker) sculpture garden in Minneapolis today.

Here are my thoughts:

Is Eva Rothschild part of /the/ Rothschild family?
Notice the BLM/pan-african colors. An odd choice for an Irish-born artist with a Jewish name.
Each time (that I've seen thus far), ten elements touch ground.

The sculpture is obviously similar to the spiders of Louise Bourgeois, which also crop up at important urban/trade sites.

I see these spiders (Rothschild's and Bourgeois') as being like the "black cubes", occupying a similar sinister function.
