We all know that the earth is slowly warming and will continue to do so until the sun engulfs the solar system destroying most of the planets within the Goldilocks Zone and burning off the atmosphere off and turning the planet into a molten ball of fire.
However human activity is accelerating this process and increasing the temperature of the atmosphere to levels that shouldn't be reached for thousands of years.

It is true that the planets current Milankovitch cycle is currently sitting within the warm period but when this changes, it's unlikely to cool down as it has within the past as the amount of heat that has been dumped into the atmosphere.
